Quarterly Incentive Awards for July - September 2019

             
    Darius Jansink   Athletics At the Queensland School Sports 10-12 Years Athletics Championships, Darius won the gold medal in the Boys 10 Years Shotput (with a PB) and the Boys 10 Years Discus (also with a PB). From these championships he went on to represent Queensland at the Australian Schools Sport 10-12 Years Championships in Darwin where he also won the gold medal in the Boys 10 Years Shotput and Discus with new PBs in both.
     
     
    Henry Reardon   Swimming Henry was a member of the Queensland Schools Swimming team which competed at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Melbourne, against able bodied competitors.
     
     
    Kaleb Stanton   Rugby League Kaleb has been selected in the Australian Schoolboys Under 15 Rugby League team.
     
     
    Mitchell Toohey   Para Swimming Mitchell has competed in Multiclass Swimming at the Queensland Championships, Queensland Schools Championships and School Sport Australian Championships. In August he competed in seven open events at the Downs Syndrome Swimming Australian Championships and medalled in every event. He also set four new DSISO Junior World Records. He has been selected as one of only six athletes from Australia to compete at the INAS Global Games.
     
     
    Eden Croker   Touch Football Eden was a member of the Toowoomba Twisters Under 12 Girls Touch Football Team which lost the grand final at the Queensland Junior Touch Football Championships in Hervey Bay. Eden was awarded Players Player for the series. She has been selected in the Queensland Under 12 Girls Touch Football team to compete at the Australian School Sport Championships in Canberra in October.
     
     
    Katie-Lee Jansink   Athletics At the Queensland School Sport 10-12 Years Track & Field Championships, Katie-Lee won the silver medal in the Girls 12 Years Shotput. This performance made Katie-Lee eligible for the Queensland team to compete at the Australian School Sport 10-12 Years Track & Field Championships in Darwin where she also came home with the silver medal and a PB in the 12 Years Girls Shotput.
     
     
    Chelsea Gladwin   Cross Country
and Athletics
Chelsea came 1st in the Girls 12 Years at the DD Schools Cross Country Championships, placed 6th as a member of the DD Schools team at the State Cross Country team & has been selected to represent Queensland at the National Cross Country Championships. In Track & Field Chelsea came 1st in the DD Schools Girls 12 Years 800m and 1500m (breaking the DD record).
     
     
    Elise Cuskelly   Volleyball In 2019, Elise has been selected in the Volleyball Queensland Under 19 Girls team, Volleyball Qld Under 19 Girls shadow selection for Qld Junior Volleyball Australian Championships and Qld Academy of Sports selection.
     
     
    Blaise Prendergast   Touch Football Blaise captained the South West Queensland Under 14 Boys Touch Football team to win the State Championships and in doing so was named Player of the Series. He has been selected in the Queensland Under 15 Schoolboys Touch Football team to compete at the Australian Championships in Canberra.
     
     
    Jack Reinbott   Orienteering In July, Jack won the Long Distance and finished 3rd in the Sprint at the Queensland Orienteering Championships held near Ipswich. He has been selected in the Queensland Orienteering team to compete at the Australian Championships in Wagga Wagga.
     
     
    Blake Reinbott   Orienteering At the Queensland Schools Orienteering Championships Blake came 1st in the Sprint and finished 3rd in both the Hagaby and the Long Distance disciplines. From this performance he was selected in the Queensland team to compete at the Australian Championships in Wagga Wagga.
     
     
    Alana Schultz   Motocross Alana came 1st in the 125cc class at the 2019 Motocross State Championships. She has been selected in the Go Girls Racing Australia Development Team to compete in New Zealand in January 2020.
     
     
    Ava Youngberry   Athletics Ava won the silver medal in the 10 Years Girls High Jump at the Queensland Track & Field Championships. At the School Sport Australia National Championships held in Darwin, Ava placed equal 3rd in the Girls 10 years High Jump with a jump of 1.33m.
     
     
    Matt Hawthorne   Hockey Matt captained the Toowoomba Under 13 Boys Hockey team at the State Championships. From his performance at these championships, he was selected in the Queensland Under 13 Boys team to compete at the Australian Under 13 Boys Hockey Championships in Hobart in October.
     
     
    Jem Ryan   Cricket After competing in the Queensland Secondary Schoolboys Cricket Carnival in Mackay, Jem was awarded the Lindsay Turnbull Trophy for ‘Best Allrounder of the Carnival’. From this performance Jem was selected in the Queensland Schoolboys Cricket team to compete against NSW in the 2019 Cricket Exchange. Queensland defeated NSW with Jem hitting a 6 in the last over to secure the win. He was also named Man of the Match for that game.
     
     
    Grant Reinbott   Orienteering At the Queensland Schools Orienteering Championships held in Ipswich, Grant won the Long Distance and finished 2nd in both the Hagaby and Sprint. He has now been named in the Queensland team to compete at the Australian Championships Carnival in Wagga Wagga.
     
     
    Josephine Illing   Swimming In July, Josephine competed at the School Swimming Australia Championships in Melbourne representing Queensland where she won the gold medal in the Girls 12 year 200m Freestyle. Two weeks later she competed at the Queensland Short Course Championships where she won 2 gold, 2 bronze medals and had 9 top-ten finishes.
     
     
    Joanna McRae   Cross Country
and Athletics
Joanna came 2nd at the Queensland All Schools Cross Country Championships and 2nd at the Queensland Athletics Cross Country Championships, and from these performances was selected in the Queensland team to compete at the National Cross Country Championships. In Track & Field Joanna qualified for the Queensland 13 – 19 Years Athletics Team after coming 2nd in the 800m and 1500m at the Darling Downs Schools Athletics Championships.
     
     
    Joe Currie   Rugby League Joe represented Queensland at the ASSRL 15 Years Rugby League National Championships held in Redcliffe in June.
     
     
    Benjamin Patterson   Karate Joe represented Queensland at the ASSRL 15 Years Rugby League National Championships held in Redcliffe in June.
     
     
    Ben Hood   Volleyball From his performance representing the Darling Downs in the Boys 12-15 Years Volleyball team, Ben was selected in the Queensland Boys 12-15 Years Volleyball team to compete at the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships in Canberra in September.
     
     
    Bill McRae   Cross Country
and Athletics
Bill came 2nd in the Boys 10 Years Age group at the Queensland All Schools Cross Country Championships and 1st at the Queensland Athletics Cross Country Championships & was consequently selected in the Queensland team to compete at the National Cross Country Championships. At the Queensland Track & Field Championships Bill came 3rd in the 1500m. This performance qualified him to represent Queensland in the 1500m at the National Athletics Championships.
     
     
    Catie Strout   Weightlifting Catie competed at the Queensland Under 17 Weightlifting Championships where she won the gold medal in the 59kg category. Catie represented Queensland at the National Under 20 Championships (lifting outside her age group) where she brought home the silver medal in the 59kg category and finished with best lifts of 56kg snatch and 67kg clean and jerk.
     
     
    Ella Rogers   Orienteering At the Queensland Schools Orienteering Championships, Ella came 1st in the Hagaby, 2nd in the Sprint & 3rd in the Individual race, and from this performance was selected as a member of the Queensland Schools Orienteering team to compete at the National Titles in Wagga Wagga in September.
     
     
    Ruby Leicht   Athletics Ruby competed in the Girls 10–12 Years division at the Queensland Track & Field Championships where she won the silver medal in the high jump, and bronze in the long jump. She then went on to represent Queensland at the School Sport Australia 10-12 Years Championships held in Darwin where she won the gold medal in the 12 years girls long jump with a PB jump of 5.16m and came 4th in the high jump.
     
     
    Hussein Yusaf   Volleyball Hussein has been selected in the Queensland Volleyball team to compete at the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships in Canberra in September.
