Quarterly Incentive Awards for January - March 2018
           
Amalgamated Pest Control Incentive Awards   Johannah Goschnick   Hockey Johannah has been selected in the Queensland Under 18 Women’s Hockey Team to compete at the Australian Under 18 Championships in Launceston.
           
    Sophie Thornton   Volleyball Sophie is a member of the Queensland Academy of Sport, and has been offered a place at the Australian Academy of Sport in the Sport of Volleyball. She has been selected in the Australian Development Team to tour the USA in June.
           
McConachie Stedman Incentive Award   Jada Ferguson   Touch Football Jada was a member of the Queensland Under 15 Girls Touch Team which won the gold medal at the Australian Pacific School Games. She has been selected in the Queensland Under 14 Touch Football Development Squad & Queensland Under 13/14 Rugby 7’s Development Squad. She has also been invited to train with the Queensland Reds Under 17 Rugby 7’s Squad.
           
           
Clive Berghofer Land Sales Incentive Awards   Angus Davey   Athletics At the Australian All School’s Athletics Championships, Angus won the gold medal in the Under 16 Boys Javelin.
           
    Emma Stevens   Track Cycling Emma competed at the Queensland Track Cycling Championships in Brisbane, where she won gold in the Sprint and Time Trial and a silver medal in the Kieren. From this performance she was selected in the Queensland Team to compete at the Australian Junior Track Cycling Championships in Melbourne, where she came away with the bronze medal in the Under 15 Girls 500m Time Trial and came 4th in the Under 15 Sprint.
           
The City Golf Club Incentive Awards   Eli Adams   Soccer Eli was a member of the Queensland Schoolboys Under 16 Soccer team which won the bronze medal at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide. From his performance at these championships he was selected in the Australian Schoolboys Team which will travel to Japan in April to compete in the J-League. He has also just attended the Joey’s ID Trials in Brisbane in preparation for selection of the 2019 World Cup Team.
           
    Nicholas Murphy   Softball Nicholas was selected as a member of the Queensland Under 17 Softball team to compete at the Australian Under 17 Softball Championships in January. From his performance at these championships, he has been selected to represent Australia in the Under 17 Friendship Series in July.
           
           
Wilsonton Betta Home Living Incentive Award   Kyrna Crump   Para Athletics Kyrna competed as a Para Athlete at the Queensland Athletics Championships in the Under 16 age group. She won gold medals in the Javelin, Shotput, 400m, 800m and 1500m. She achieved PB’s in all these events except the shotput at these championships.
           
The Athletes Foot Incentive Award   Naia Anderson   Swimming Naia travelled to Adelaide to compete at the 2018 Australian Age Open Water Swimming Championships where she won the silver medal in the Girls 14-15 years 5km Open Water Swim with a PB time of 1:04:25.
           
Toowoomba Carpet Court Incentive Awards   Bart Steffen   BMX Racing Bart raced at the Australian BMX Championships in Bunbury, WA where he finished 8th after crashing in the final.
           
    Daniel Burge   Hockey (Outdoor & Indoor) Daniel was the goalkeeper for the Queensland Under 13 Boys Indoor Hockey Team at the Australian Under 13 Indoor Hockey Championships. He has also gained selection as a member of the Queensland Gold Under 15 Boys Hockey Team to compete at the Australian Under 15 Championships in Wollongong.
           
Hip Pocket Workwear Incentive Award   Sofie McGrath   Pool Life Saving Sofie was selected in the Queensland Team to compete at the National Pool Life Saving Competition held in Adelaide. Here she won a bronze medal in the Under 16 CPR Assessment with a score of 95.7/100 and a bronze medal in the Women’s Open Obstacle Relay.
           
Holmes Smash Repairs Speedliner Incentive Awards   Jake Rynne   Lawn Bowls Jake is the Queensland Junior Lawn Bowls Under 15 Singles Champion, Queensland Under 18 fours and triples runner-up and the bronze medalist in the pairs. He has also won the Australian Under 18 Pairs gold medal and fours bronze medal.
           
    Abigail Schoorl   Swimming At the Pacific School Games, Abby won the gold medal in the Girls 15-16 years 100m Backstroke and a silver in the 100m Butterfly. At the Commonwealth Games Swimming Trials (Open Nationals) she came 12th in the Women’s 100m Backstroke.
           
Downs Group Training Incentive Award   Ruby Leicht   Athletics Ruby represented Queensland at the Pan Pacific Games in Adelaide where she won the bronze medal in the Long Jump and was a member of the 4 x 100m relay team who also won the bronze medal. She also competed in the boy/girl relay 8 x 100m sprint and her team placed 2nd.
           
Neil Mansell Group Incentive Awards   Drey Luker   Karate At the Queensland Karate Association Championships, Drey won a gold medal in the Kyu Grade and Open Kumite (Sparring) Divisions. This has qualified him to compete at the Australian Karate Federation Championships to be held at Caloundra in August.
           
    Rose McLoughlin   Athletics Rose was a member of the Queensland Schools Team which competed at the Pan Pacific Games / National Championships held in Adelaide. She won a silver medal in the Girls 10 years Shotput Relay and a bronze in the girls 10 years Discus with a throw of 35.26m.
           
McDonald's Restaurants Toowoomba Incentive Awards   Cameron Stein   Tenpin Bowling At just 16, Cameron has been selected as a member of the Under 18 South Queensland Tenpin Bowling Team which will compete at the National Championships in Frankston, Vic in April. He has travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he was a finalist in the Under 21 Division of the International Junior All Stars competition.
           
    Declan Trezise   Track Cycling Declan won a gold medal in the Maddison and silver for the Scratch Race, Points Race, 500m Time Trial and Individual Pursuit held at the 2018 Track Cycling Championships at the Anna Meares Velodrome. From his performance at these championships, he was selected in the Queensland Under 17 Men’s Team to compete at the National Junior Track Championships in Melbourne where he won the silver medal in the Under 17 Men’s Team Pursuit and came 4th in the Scratch Race.
           
Black Truck Sales Incentive Award   Bella McLoughlin   Athletics At the Queensland Junior Athletics Championships, Bella won the gold medal in the Under 17 Hammer, silver medal in the Under 16 Hammer and bronze in the Under 16 Shotput & Discus and Under 17 Shotput & Discus. At the Australian Junior Athletics Championships she won the bronze medal in the Under 16 Hammer.
           
TruSports Incentive Award   Thomas Brown   Motorcycle Racing In the sport of motorcycle racing, Thomas travelled to Malaysia to compete in the Asia Talent Cup where he competed against the top junior motorcycle racers from all over the world. His is also competing in the Moto Stars Series, which is a 6 round series throughout Queensland, NSW and Victoria.
           
Springs Early Education Incentive Awards   Lillian Hanssen   Athletics Lillian won the silver medal in the Under 14 years 400m at the Queensland Junior Athletics Championships. This performance qualified her to compete for Queensland at the National Junior Athletics Championships, where she came 4th in the Under 14 400m and 800m.
           
    Kamryn Dunemann   Golf Kamryn placed 3rd when she competed at the Australian School Sport Under 15 Golf Tournament held at the Gold Coast. From this performance she has been selected as one of only six Under 19 Girls in the 2018 Junior Golf Queensland Stars of the Future Squad.
           
Heron Eyecare Incentive Award   Lucy McGrath   Pool Life Saving At the Australian Pool Life Saving Championships held in Adelaide, Lucy won the gold medal in the Under 16 CPR Assessment with a score of 99.6/100, (this was the highest score of any female participating in all age groups) and gold in the mixed Under 16 Simulated Emergency Response Event. She also won silver in the 12.5m Line Throw, mixed 4 x 50m Obstacles Relay & Mixed Medley Relay and bronze in the mixed 4 x 25m Manikin Carry Relay.
