Quarterly Incentive Awards for October - December 2016

Amalgamated Pest Control Incentive Award   Grace Muirhead   Equestrian In the sport of Equestrian, Grace has won the Queensland Pony Club 12 and Under Girls Reserve Champion, Dressage, Combined Training and Eventing. She is also the Queensland Reserve Interschool Champion CT 80cm. At the Australian Secondary Schools Equestrian Championships she is the National Reserve Champion for Working Hunter, and came 3rd in the Combined Training 80cm.
McConachie Stedman Incentive Award   Emily Ward   Touch Emily was a member of the Queensland Under 15 Schoolgirls Touch Football team which returned from the Australian Touch Championships victorious after beating NSW in the final to become the National Champions.
Rebel Sport Incentive Award   Jarrod Lee   Rugby League Jarrod was a member of the Highfields Eagles Rugby League Team which won the Toowoomba Team of the Year Award in the local TRL competition. He was a member of the Queensland University Rugby League Team and has been selected in the Australian University Rugby League Team to compete at the University World Cup at Sydney in July 2017.
Clive Berghofer Land Sales Incentive Award   Lara Nielsen   Athletics Lara won a gold medal in the Hammer Throw at the Queensland Athletics Championships with a record-breaking throw of 66.37m and followed this up with a gold in the Hammer, for the 4th consecutive year, at the Australian Open Athletics Championships held in Sydney.
The City Golf Club Incentive Award   Sarah Ogden   Rugby 7's and Netball In 2016 Sarah was a member of the Queensland Reds Youth Under 17 Rugby 7’s team. In the sport of Netball she was named the Most Valuable Darling Downs Player after competing at the Queensland Under 19 Netball Championships. She was selected as a shadow for the Queensland U/17 Women’s Academy Netball Team.
Wilsonton Betta Home Living Incentive Award   Kyrna Crump   Cross Country and Athletics At the Australian AWD Athletics Championships held in Sydney, Kyrna won the gold medal, setting a new 800m record of 2min 59.85sec in the T20 classification. At the National AWD Cross Country Championships she came 4th.
The Athletes Foot Incentive Award   Tess Henare   Hockey Tess was a member and co-captain of the Queensland U/13 Girls Hockey Team, was selected in the Queensland U/15 Girls Hockey Squad and was a member of the Queensland U/13 Girls Indoor Hockey Team.
Toowoomba Carpet Court Incentive Award   Ava Black   Indoor Netball After being a member of the Indoor Netball Team which won the Queensland Championship, Ava was selected in the Queensland Women’s Indoor 13’s Netball Team to compete at the National Championships. At these championships Ava captained the Queensland team to a win and was named ‘Player of the Series’ and ‘Player of the Grand Final’.
Hip Pocket Workwear Incentive Awards   Lucinda Jensen   Cricket Lucinda was a member of the Queensland U/18 Women’s Cricket team which finished 5th at the National Women’s Cricket Championships held in Hobart in December.
Holmes Smash Repairs Speedliner Incentive Award   Jess Rogers   Orienteering Jess won the bronze medal in Individual and Sprint Events at the Queensland Schools Orienteering Championships held in August. At the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships held in September she won the gold medal in the Sprint, Relay and Individual. She also won a bronze medal at the Queensland Long Distance Orienteering Championships.
Downs Group Training Incentive Award   Brielle Erbacher   Athletics Brielle won the bronze medal at the Queensland All School Cross Country Championships in the Under 18 Women’s division. From this performance she was selected in the Queensland team to compete at the National All Schools Cross Country Championships held in Canberra, where the Queensland team went on to win the Team National Title. From her performance at the Darling Downs Athletics Championships, Brielle was selected in the Darling Downs team to compete at the State Titles in Brisbane where she won the gold medal in the U/18 Women’s 1500m, and the bronze in the steeplechase.
Neil Mansell Group Incentive Award   Conor McLoughlin   Athletics At the Queensland All Schools Athletics Championships held in October, Conor won gold medals in the U/18, Hammer, Shotput and Discus. At the Australian All Schools Championships held in Canberra in December, he won silver in the U/18 Hammer & Discus.
McDonald's Restaurants Toowoomba Incentive Award   Samantha Lenton   Athletics At the Queensland Athletics Championships held in November, Samantha won gold medals in the U/18 Women’s Shotput and Discus, and silver in the Hammer Throw. At the Australian Athletics Championships held in December, she won the silver medal in the U/18 Women’s Discus.
Black Truck Sales Incentive Award   Kye Oates   Rugby 7's Kye was selected as a member of the National Indigenous U/18 Men’s Rugby 7’s team to compete at the 2016 National Indigenous Youth 7’s Championships in Narrabeen during December.
Sports Darling Downs Incentive Award   Jack Oster   Golf Jack was a member of the Queensland team which competed at the Australian Schools 12 and under Golf Championships in Murray Bridge, SA in November. Jack’s team were the day 1 winners, the Queensland Boys won the silver medal, and the boys and girls combined won the bronze medal for these championships.
