Quarterly Incentive Awards for April - June 2014

           
Caltex Energy Qld Incentive Award   Dominique du Toit   Touch & Rugby 7s Dominique captained the Darling Downs Under 18 Touch Team to a win at the Queensland Secondary School Touch Championships and was named player of the final. From this performance she was selected in the Australian Under 18 Touch Squad to play in a Trans-Tasman series. She has also been selected in the Australian Youth Olympic team for Rugby 7’s to travel to China in August.
           
Amalgamated Pest Control Incentive Award   Madeline Lindemann   Athletics Maddy competed at the 2014 National Track & Field Championships in Sydney where she won a silver medal in the Under 17 triple jump with a distance of 11.54m. She also made the finals of the Under 20 triple jump and Under 17 long jump at these championships. From this performance she was invited to compete in Queensland's premier athletics competition The Queensland Track Classic Open Competition.
           
Central Jewellers Incentive Award   Tiana Barrett   Hockey In April Tiana represented Queensland at the Australian Under 18 Womens Hockey Championships, where Queensland won these championships. She has been selected in the Under 19 Queensland Schoolgirls team to tour New Zealand in September.
           
McConachie Stedman Incentive Award   Dylan Sheehan   Softball After his performance as pitcher in the Queensland Under 17 Softball team which competed for the Arthur Allsopp Shield in Canberra, Dylan was selected in the Australian Under 17 Mens Softball Squad whic will contest the 2014 Friendship Series at Blacktown, NSW in July.
           
Rebel Sport Incentive Award   Samantha Lenton   Athletics At the Australian Junior Athletics Championships held in Sydney, Samantha won silver medals in the Under 16 Womens Discus and Under 16 Shotput and came 5th in the Under 18 Shotput.
           
Clive Berghofer Land Sales Incentive Award   Chloe Campbell   Touch Chloe was a member of the Darling Downs Under 18 Schoolgirls Touch team who won the State Touch Championships. From her performance at these championships she has been selected in the Queensland Under 18 Touch team to compete at the National Youth Championships in September.
           
The City Golf Club Incentive Award   Dylan Stevens   Swimming Dylan qualified for four events, the 100 & 200 metres backstroke & the 200 & 400 metres individual medley at the Australian Age Swimming Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre. Dylan swam personal bests in all events and qualified for the final of both of the backstroke events. He finished 10th in the 200m backstroke & 9th in the 100m and in the process set a new Darling Downs record for the 14 years Boys 100m backstroke with a time of 1 min 02.50 seconds.
           
Geiger Civil and Electrical Incentive Award   Alan Gibson   Swimming At the Darling Downs Regional Swimming Championships Alan won three gold and one silver medal and was named Male Distance Swimmer of the meet. At Darling Downs School Swimming Championships he won three gold, two silver & one bronze medal. He has been selected in the Queensland Secondary Schools Swimming team to compete at the National Championships in July.
           
Cooper's Joinery Incentive Award   Will O'Grady   Rugby League Will has been selected in the Queensland 16 Years Rugby League team and was a member of this team who played a game as a curtain raiser at a recent State of Origin Game.
           
Wilsonton Betta Home Living Incentive Award   Mia Stower   Netball Mia has been selected in the Queensland Schoolgirls Netball team to compete at the Australian Championships in Melbourne in July.
           
The Athletes Foot Incentive Award   Will Shelton   AFL Will was a member of the Darling Downs Under 15 years AFL team which competed at the State Carnival in Brisbane in May. From his performance at these championships he has been invited to the Queensland Heat 15 Years AFL team which will compete at the School Sport Australia AFL competition held in Sydney at July.
           
Toowoomba Carpet Court Incentive Award   Jayden Formosa   Soccer In May Jayden was selected as goalkeeper for the Queensland Schoolsport 19 Years Football (Soccer) Team.
           
National Telephone & Data Incentive Award   Teketel Tyson   Cross Country In May Teketel came 1st in the 13 years division at the Darling Downs Cross Country Championships and in doing so qualified him for the State Titles in July. He also came 1st at the Queensland All Schools Cross Country Championships which qualifies him to compete at the Australian Cross Country Championships at Albany in August.
           
Stonestreets Coaches Incentive Award   Rebecca Welke   Swimming At the Queensland Swimming Sprint Championships Rebecca won gold in the Girls 16 years 50m breaststroke and silver in the Women’s Open 50m Breaststroke. She has also represented the Darling Downs at the Queensland Secondary Schools Swimming Championships where she won gold in the 17-19 Years 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m breaststroke. From this performance she was selected to represent Queensland at the School Sport Australia Championships held in Melbourne in July.
           
Hip Pocket Workwear Incentive Awards   Brock Aston   AFL Brock was a member of the Darling Downs Under 15 years AFL team which competed at the State Carnival in Brisbane in May. From his performance at these championships he has been invited to the Queensland Heat 15 Years AFL team which will compete at the School Sport Australia AFL competition held in Sydney at July.
           
Holmes Smash Repairs Speedliner Incentive Award   Harrison Weir   Cricket From his performance at the Queensland School Sport Cricket Championships Harrison was selected in the School Sport Queensland 12 Years Cricket Team. He was also awarded a bowling award at these championships for taking 6 wickets for 7 runs off 8.1 overs (5 maidens).
           
The Apprenticeship Company Incentive Award   Anthony Grant   Soccer Anthony attended the Schoolboys 19 Years State Soccer Championships as a member of the Darling Downs Team where he scored 5 goals from 5 matches. From his performance at these championships he has been selected in the Queensland 19 Years Soccer Team to play at the National Championships in August.
           
Sports Darling Downs Incentive Awards   Nykodah Smith   Soccer After competing at the Queensland School Sport Soccer Championships, Nykodah has been selected in the Queensland School Sport Under 19 Years Soccer team to compete at the Australian Championships in Sydney in August.
           
    Donovan Spanner   Cricket Donovan was a member of the Darling Downs Under 15 Cricket Team which competed at the State Championships in Cairns in April. He has also been selected in the Queensland Under 15 Cricket Team
           
    Tom Wilson   Swimming From his performance as a member of the Darling Downs Swimming Team which competed at the State Carnival at Chandler, Tom has been selected in the Queensland Swim Team to compete in the National Championships at Melbourne in July.
           
    Lawry Flynn   Golf So far in 2014 Lawry has received recognition in the sport of Golf as Golf Queensland State Junior Development Player, and a member of Brisbane District Golf Association Inter-district Pennants Team and Darling Downs School Sport Under 19 Golf Team. He has been selected in the Golf Queensland State Junior Squad for 2014-2015 and Golf Australia High Performance State Training Squad.
           
    Todd Hamlet   Indoor Cricket Todd has been selected as Captain of the Queensland Under 15 Indoor Cricket Team to contest the National Title at Adelaide in July.
